The Adventures of Starry, the Brave Sturgeon: Why we developed this e-book?

The International Association for Danube Research (IAD) is an active network of scientists in the Danube River Basin, which also aims at going public beyond elaborating scientific core topics of environmental issues. To raise awareness on the concern of preserving aquatic habitats and the life they host, the IAD, Austria, in cooperation with the Institute for Integral Development and Environment, Slovenia, have elaborated this e-book for children, aiming to present the adventures of a little sturgeon in the river and sea. The multilingual translation of the English version reflects the high diversity of languages among the Danubian countries. “The Adventures of Starry, the Brave Sturgeon” is dedicated to children of 8-13 years old, and it is accompanied by a colouring book for children of 4-7 years old.
